Annual Chamber Chili Cookoff
Saturday, October 20, 2018 on the Downtown Square
The Chamber’s “Chili King Cook-off” is a fun, old-fashioned festival complete with contests, music, arts and crafts vendors, activities for the kids, and dozens of different kinds of chili.

We appreciate everyone who attended the downtown event and participated in the City-Wide Celebration campaign. The response was outstanding and everyone’s involvement will help the effort to promote local business in our community!
- Over 475 attended the event
- The downtown Square hosted 16 chili booths, with 18 kinds of chili and over 50 volunteers
- 16 Arts & Crafts booths
- 49 ticket boxes distributed all over town for the “Construction’s Stopped & It’s Time to Shop” campaign, increasing traffic to local businesses
- Promoted in newspaper, radio, and social media in and beyond Van Buren County
