The objective of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce is to develop and maintain a vibrant business environment through the development of relevant and innovative services and community leadership, thereby enhancing the economic quality of life in Van Buren County.

Benefits & Opportunities

Clinton Membership Directory and Relocation Packet: Clinton Chamber of Commerce business members receive a free listing in the Membership Directory, and are classified by category. This comprehensive guide is distributed throughout the area and sent in relocation packages.

Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cuttings: All new Chamber and current Chamber members who are expanding, relocating or celebrating a special anniversary can increase their visibility and receive tremendous FREE advertising and promotion with a Chamber ribbon cutting. A photo is provided to the Van Buren County Democrat and the Chamber Board and members are invited.

The Weekly Email Blast is emailed weekly listing all current events, community topics & press releases from local businesses. Events are in turn printed in the weekly edition of the VBC Democrat. Tourist-related events are promoted online & statewide.

Office Advertising: Additional high visibility to potential customers is made available to chamber members through display advertising in the chamber office.

Business Referrals: The Chamber employs staff to answer telephone, email, and regular U.S. mail inquiries.

Networking: Periodic community meetings provide our members the opportunity to build business relationships with other local proprietors.

Legislative Updates: The Chamber maintains a visible presence with local and state legislators to stay informed on topics of importance to our members’ businesses.

Chamber Events

Chamber Annual Banquet: Open to all Chamber members, plus the general public. It is held the first Tuesday in March, honoring the Business & Volunteer of the Year. Scholarships are also awarded to students from the three area high schools and an interesting speaker rounds out the evening.

Archey Fest held the last weekend in June is a summer festival featuring carnival rides, sports tournaments, contests, car show, arts & crafts, and vendor booths. As one of the area’s biggest seasonal attractions it offers excellent opportunity for advertising.

Annual Chili King Cookoff held downtown each October, brings over a thousand visitors to local business-sponsored booths to help raise funds for scholarships.

Seminars & Workshops (Nominal fees may apply): The Chamber sponsor seminars and workshops. Marketing, Computers, Customer Service, and Financial Planning are just a few of the topics covered.
